NASA STEM Internships
Are you curious to explore opportunities in the STEM world and keen to see the inside workings at NASA? NASA runs a number of internships, including a four-week program in which students at the John H. Glenn Research Center in Ohio work closely with scientists, engineers and business people at NASA to understand more of the workings of this massive and important American agency. There are hundreds of opportunities at different facilities across the county. This is a really amazing opportunity to experience the inner workings of this cutting edge organization!

How do I expand this narrative arc? If science and space are in your narrative arc think about supplementing this project with another science (or space)-based opportunity. For example:
Launch an interest in rocketry in the American Rocketry Challenge
Explore the world of Mars when you compete to Build a Mars City State.
Check out the Mars Mission Project.
Diversify your space creds when you compete to build the best International Space Settlement.
Send science experiments to the International Space Station with Cubes in Space and Dream Up.
Using amateur ham radio Talk to Astronauts on the International Space Station.
HOT TIP: It’s tough for high school students to get substantive jobs and internships, and they look great on a college application. The NASA STEM Internship is also a great way to get insights into the professional lives of people who work in STEM fields. It’s an opportunity to explore the field, and also to develop a relationship with a potential mentor. It’s also a nice chance to connect with other students that share your interests.
