NY District Attorney Intern
Are you a big fan of Law & Order? Have you always wanted to see behind the scenes at the famous Manhattan DA’s office? And do you live in Manhattan? Check out this incredible opportunity - an internship in which you will be assigned to a unit in the DA’s office. You’ll get a firsthand view of the work that’s done there, and an opportunity to get up close and personal with the lawyers and law enforcement officers that prosecute crimes in New York. This is a really cool gig!
The New York County District Attorney’s High School Internship Program is a rigorous internship that provides students with an insider’s view of the criminal justice system. Each intern is assigned to a unit within the Office and helps Assistant District Attorneys and other staff members with their work. Interns also attend presentations and trips and participate in a mock trial competition.
For nearly 30 years, the program’s interns have represented a variety of public, independent, and parochial schools from the diverse communities of Manhattan. We will be accepting applications in February from bright and promising students who are interested in serving their communities. Interns receive a $175 weekly stipend.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Participants must live in Manhattan or attend school in Manhattan.

This is a great chance to see lawyers in action, and to figure out whether you are interested in pursuing a career in law or law enforcement. It’s limited to residents of Manhattan, but chances are decent if you live in a big city that there’s a similar program in your local DA’s office. Check it out!
