Roots & Shoots Leadership Council

To apply for this leadership opportunity, you need to first become a member of the Roots and Shoots organization. Founded with the famous gorilla scientist Jane Goodall, this organization aims to activate young people in their local communities. From unsustainable palm oil to the climate crisis and social injustice, changemakers in Roots & Shoots have created thousands of projects and represent hundreds of thousands of individuals all around the world delivering on a vision of a better world for all. What started with a group of 12 Tanzanians is now a global movement active in over 60 countries around the world – and growing. Find a chapter near you (or start your own)!

Once you are a member that is active in your own community, you can apply to be a member of their Roots & Shoots National Youth Council. The application for membership of the National Youth Council reopens periodically, so become a member and check the website regularly
