“Looking for somewhere to publish your poems or show your art? Submit your work to NTM. Email yours today!  In print for 20 years, we accept submissions from teens from around the world. Each year we publish the best of all entries received. If your work is selected, you will receive a free copy of the book.

Published annually by Adonis Designs Press in partnership with Springfield Poets and Writers, a nonprofit literary organization located in Springfield, Illinois, the paperback book is approximately 100 pages. Out of all artwork submitted, one piece is chosen for a cover each year.”

Submit your poetry or art to this international teen poetry anthology. Be one of a small handful of teens that have their work published and showcase in this annually published literary journal.

How do I get started? Check out the submissions guidelines here.

How do I expand this narrative arc? Do you attend a high school where you’re one of a small number of poets?

  • Think about starting an online poetry journal at your school. You can expand it throughout your region, or you can market it and solicit submissions from all over the country or the world. There are minimal barriers to entry, and the only cost is your time and focus. But for a poet like you, the payoff could be huge.

  • If you are writing poetry, you should be submitting it to one of the many poetry competitions and journals aimed at teens. See our posts about getting poetry published in Teen Sequin , Elan Literary Magazine and more.

  • Also see our post about putting on a Poetry Slam in your town.

HOT TIP: It’s tough for a teen poet to get noticed on more than a very small stage. Taking a leadership role and starting Poetry Slam or a poetry journal are impressive achievements that would go far in college admissions.
