US Astronomy Team
Are you passionate about space and astronomy and eager to take your interest into the next stratosphere? Check out the USA Astronomy and Astrophysics Association, which is dedicated to promoting interest in the field across the country. The USAAAO provides resources, online training and selection theses that will further develop your interest and skills and may qualify you to represent the U.S. at the International Olympiad for Astronomy and Astrophysics.

How do I expand this narrative arc? If science and space are in your narrative arc think about supplementing this larger project with one of the smaller science (or space)-based opportunities. For example:
Send a science experiment to the International Space Station with Dream Up.
Diversify your space creds when you compete to build the best International Space Settlement.
Build on your space design creativity when you Build a Mars City State.
For a less time-consuming space-related project, check out some of the many citizen science opportunities including Become a Muon Hunter, Become a Galaxy Hunter and Find Planet 9.
HOT TIP: This is a great resource for a kid interested in the technical side of space. It’s especially an asset if your school’s offerings in the field are limited. Organizations like this are also a great way to connect with other kids who share your interest, and to meet potential mentors in the field.
