EarthEcho Youth Leadership Council

EarthEcho was founded on the belief that young people have the power to change the world. Apply to join the Youth Leadership Council—a team of young environmental leaders, selected annually through a competitive application process, who play a key role leading EarthEcho’s education programs while developing and implementing campaigns to mobilize young people worldwide to protect our ocean planet.

Through this unique experience, you will grow as an environmental leader, gain an understanding of the operations of an international non-profit organization as you shape our work and mission, and build connections with your peers and EarthEcho partners working around the world to ensure a sustainable future.

How do I become a Youth Leadership Council Member? Click here and start your application. If it is not currently accepting applications, check back regularly!

How do I expand this narrative arc? Apply for one of these other environmental leadership opportunities:

  1. Roots and Shoots National Youth Council

  2. The President’s Environmental Youth Award

  3. The Human Impacts Institute Youth Advisory Board

  4. Youth Advisory Council for UN Ocean Decade

HOT TIP: You’ll never win the AP or SAT arms race, but you might be one of most interesting candidates a college sees if you have a leadership experience in the environmental field like this. Chances are good that you’ll also create lots of memorable and life-changing experiences and relationships (that will likely help you write some incredible college admissions essays).
